We named the company 44 Energy because 44 is the molecular weight of CO₂ —
the infamous greenhouse gas responsible for climate change and global warming. As governments and communities respond to the need to combat climate change, a primary focus is reducing the carbon intensity of our transportation and energy sectors. 44 Energy was formed to make a positive impact on the dramatic transformation in technologies required over the next 20 years.
