We are pleased to announce that Rick Breunesse has joined the 44 Energy team as Senior Director. In this role, Rick will support our consulting practice across key focus areas including emissions control, advanced propulsion systems, hydrogen fuel cell technology, and sustainable transportation.
Rick is a dynamic and entrepreneurial business development leader with over 20 years of international experience driving growth in clean mobility, alternative fuels, and advanced transportation technologies. With a strong engineering background and a proven track record across North America, Europe, and Asia, Rick specializes in market entry, strategic partnerships, licensing, and large-scale deal execution.
Prior to joining 44 Energy, Rick held senior roles at Symbio North America, Ricardo Inc., BOSAL, and TNO. At these organizations, he successfully launched innovative technologies, led cross-functional teams, and built strategic relationships across the mobility and energy sectors.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Engineering from HAN University in the Netherlands, with a focus on internal combustion engines and emissions control. He is also a multilingual communicator (Dutch, English, German), a named inventor on multiple patents, and a contributor to several respected technical publications.
